ROSARIO

Carolina Rosario is the national correspondent for the popular television news magazine, Primer Impacto.  Before joining Primer Impacto, she worked at the Univision affiliate in Miami. 

 

There she covered both local and national stories and was featured on stories that concerned her homeland of Puerto Rico.  She was born in Puerto Rico and moved to Miami in 2008.  She earned her bachelor of journalism and production with a minor in Spanish from Florida International University. 

 

She won her first award as Best New Reporter and has been nominated for 4 Emmy Awards for her investigative reporting: among them a series about cyberbullying in schools, the economic crisis in Puerto Rico and a special investigation into the underworld of graffiti artists.  

 

Carolina believes that a well-informed society is essential to democracy and that a well told story can result in substantial change.
